ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Waratah Avenue is a bespoke luxury brand focused on sustainable, ethical design handmade in our Toronto studio. We source beautiful deadstock textiles and transform them into exquisite garments for clientele who have long felt marginalised by the fashion industry. Australian designer, Jen Moffat, is dedicated to representation and creating art that doesn’t plunder the earth.

The Heretical Order of the Gilded Curve
Inspired by Art Nouveau's flowing lines, the era's fascination with mysticism and the birth of the Tarot, this collection celebrates inclusivity. We seek to challenge the”ideal” waif body shape which emerged during this incredible time in fashion’s history. Luxurious fabrics, sourced locally, will drape and adorn our models, embodying the idea that sustainable beauty comes in many forms. The diversity of our models echoes the Tarot’s own unique cast of characters, each representing different aspects of the human experience. Sculpted and hand-crafted accessories are used throughout the collection to lean into the whimsical mystery of the era and our deep connection with our planet and each other.
