ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Delcyna-Kanisha Morgan is a 21 year old artist and fashion designer from Gatineau, Quebec. She graduated from Richard Robinson Academy in 2023 after presenting her first collection Listen which was based on her own experience with mental health issues. Her work mostly consists of haute couture fashion that provides an elegant and enchanting style with distinctive designs using a diverse range of colors and fabric manipulation techniques creating wearable works of art. She’s been painting and drawing for most of her life using many mediums such as watercolour, acrylic and pastels. She started taking interest in fashion design around the age of nine and learned to sew at ten to make her creations come to life. As a black and queer artist, she has always used her work to express herself freely, mostly drawing inspiration from nature.

A Butterfly Fairytale
Butterflies, a depiction of unique and enchanting beauty within nature, straight out of a fairytale. They are a reminder of how transformation is such a natural occurrence and can yet seem incredibly magical. This collection is inspired by the delicate beauty of butterflies, from the shape and colour patterns of the wings to their soft and graceful flight patterns. All of it is portrayed with flounces, ruffles, draping elements along with corsets which showcases a light, feminine, romantic and ethereal look.
